“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” This verse from Acts 20:35 offers a simple message that’s woven throughout God’s word.
With Thanksgiving next week, many of us have turned our thoughts to all that we are thankful for — but what about the giving part?
Well, hundreds of Christians have taken the message from Acts 20:35 — a favorite during Thanksgiving — to heart by partnering with us to give holiday meals to families in need in the U.S. and traditional meals to starving families in developing countries.
Cross plans to provide cooked turkeys and other Thanksgiving goodies to destitute families living in impoverished communities in the U.S. We have the canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, gravy, potatoes, and pies. We just need support to purchase the turkeys.
A gift of $10 provides a turkey to a poor family in the U.S. or a traditional meal to a starving family in one of the developing countries where we work.
If you are looking for a way to deepen your Thanksgiving experience this year, join us in extending the blessings and hope of the season to someone in desperate need. Put the giving back in your Thanksgiving!
