“The children will arrive at school filthy, hungry and haphazardly dressed in rags,” said Patricia Puma, parent and cook at Elohim Evangelical School, a Cross International-supported Christian school in a desperately impoverished slum outside of Arequipa, Peru. “But thanks to the snack and lunch provided by Cross, the 200 students have energy to continue studying and improve their lives.”
