Reports to: Senior Marketing Manager
In the position of Cross International’s Content Writer & Strategist (CWS) you are a skilled writer who will play a critical role in meeting the written (mostly) and visual (somewhat) expressions of Cross International to a broad range of audiences: donors and prospective donors, marketing initiatives, external and internal constituents, and the general public. Your work will have an immense influence on Cross International’s growth and impact with many of the world’s most vulnerable people over the coming years.
As CWS, you will reach broadly into CI’s organization and will engage with and produce material for our Development, Marketing, and Programs departments and work closely with the President & CEO and marketing leadership in crafting the voice of CI. You may travel internationally to CI’s partners to gather key resources (stories, pictures, video) to be used in a multiple of manners by Cross. The majority of your work will be in written form but may also include facilitating video concepting, content, and production, all to meet the priority needs of Cross International.
The position requires that you are an experienced, energetic person of Christian faith with excellent writing skills, loves a team environment, has tactful interpersonal skills, are proactive and love a “how can I create” instead of a “what tasks do you want me to do” mindset and environment, you are intent to complete projects on time, and you have a passion to serve the world’s most vulnerable populations with compassion and respect. You also have an understanding of the contemporary influences within North American evangelical churches and the worldwide Church at large.
