Empowered and Equipped

Last month I visited students at the Divine Shelter School in the rural town of Saintard, Haiti. Many of these students are the first ones in their families to be given the chance to go to school—and they are not taking this opportunity for granted.  “School gives me hope,” says 13-year-old Katiana Meterus. “It is a blessing for today so that I can have a future for tomorrow.”
