Support a Small Business

Area of Impact: Microenterprise | Zambia | Kachere Development Program
Amount Needed: $19,544

In rural Zambia, severe poverty traps hard-working single mothers in a cycle of day-to-day survival. Even though they possess valuable skills, some startup capital and practical business knowledge, most lack access to the one thing they need to get ahead: Business Profitability Training. The Kachere Development Program starts and funds Self-Help Groups of female head-of-household entrepreneurs. Your gift will help them learn best practices to increase their profitability and manage a revolving loan fund that extends microloans to group members. These business owners use their new profits to to feed their families, secure safe housing, pay for medical care, send their children to school—and break that poverty cycle.

Our Promise to You:
Your gift will go to our Thriving Kids Africa campaign fund, which will then disperse funds to the comprehensive projects the campaign supports. Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures for these projects incurred through June 30, 2020, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
