Provide Safe Water

Area of Impact: Clean Water | Zambia | Kachere Water for Life
Amount Needed: $106,944

Only 44 percent of rural Zambians have access to basic water services. Women and children in rural areas spend hours hauling water from rivers, springs, and hand-dug wells. This chore keeps women from more meaningful employment and children out of school. That unsafe water also leads to death, disease, and high levels of childhood malnutrition—40 percent of Zambian children are suffering from chronic malnutrition. Kachere Water for Life is helping Zambian villages dig, operate, and maintain new wells and construct new latrines. Help give rural Zambians health and hope by donating to this locally led clean water project.

Our Promise to You:
Your gift will go to our Thriving Kids Africa campaign fund, which will then disperse funds to the comprehensive projects the campaign supports. Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures for these projects incurred through June 30, 2020, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
