Keep a Child in School

Area of Impact: Education | Malawi | Ambuya Development Center (ADC)
Amount Needed: $2,951

Education is one of the most powerful tools we have to help people escape poverty. In fact, the United Nations estimates that if all adults finished secondary school, the global poverty rate would be slashed in half. In the rural Malawi communities where Ambuya Development Center works, 85 percent of the population is living on less than $1 a day. Education offers local children a proven path out of that severe poverty. The center’s Feeding Program not only provides daily meals for vulnerable students, but it also pays 250 students’ school fees (only $11.80 a year) and provides homework help, hygiene and sanitation instruction, spiritual development classes, and other key supports. Give a child a chance at a better future by supporting the center’s education programming.

Our Promise to You:
Your gift will go to our Thriving Kids Africa campaign fund, which will then disperse funds to the comprehensive projects the campaign supports. Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures for these projects incurred through June 30, 2020, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
