Serving those in need in response to COVID-19

The COVID-19 crisis is truly unprecedented. The situation changes by the minute and we’re adapting with it. What hasn’t changed is our commitment: to serve those in need around the world.
Our ministry partners face challenges they’ve never faced before. They need to address the reality of the coronavirus and ensure essential ministry services can continue. We are working with them closely to create highly-adaptable plans that can be adjusted as the crisis unfolds.
More Than Ever
Gladys

Our resolve is strong, and we’re asking our donors and partners to join us in this work, now more than ever.

Gladys Thomas is a remarkable example of the spirit of Cross International and our mission partners. Gladys is the founder and CEO of Foundation for the Children of Haiti, home to Hope Hospital, two orphanages, three schools, and a technical academy. Today, Hope Hospital remains open to receive COVID-19 cases and coordinate with other medical facilities. Her closed schools are working to provide food to students–for most, their only daily meal. Orphanages that are quarantined are operating with only a few residential staff, sharing roles to keep children safe, healthy, and educated.
And yet, at the end of each unpredictable and ever-changing day, Gladys sits at her sewing machine in Port-au-Prince late into the night, making another batch of cloth face masks. Yesterday, she made enough for the staff at Hope Hospital. Next, she’ll hand them out on the streets.

Gladys is answering God’s call to serve others. Will you?

We’re helping our partners evolve as we learn more about this pandemic. Please consider giving today to help us meet their unprecedented needs. God remains sovereign, even in the face of a global crisis. As we continue to rely on Him for comfort and provision, we hope you’ll join us in this work, now more than ever.

Focused to Serve
Your generous gift will be used to support Cross International’s Thriving Kids initiative through June 30 2020, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the initiative, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry and may be used in the following fiscal year.
