Christian laypersons volunteer to bring food, material support and encouragement to 80 chronically ill, homebound patients too sick to fend for themselves. Many of the patients are suffering from tuberculosis or dying of AIDS. The 40 caregivers, primarily elderly widows, are themselves poor and in need of support; thus, they also receive food as an incentive and sustenance. Your gift will help to cover the full operational costs of the program and provide food and resources to both the chronically ill and to the poor volunteers who care for them.
